Dead space slasher twister2/11/2024 ![]() ![]() Twister? But that also isn't horror and wasn't that scary to me. There's definitely some out there for sure, but the ones I can think of just cycle back to Water or Fire territories. ![]() ? I don't know any horror movies about storms. Same goes for most vampire movies but I feel they work less well because vamps are more parasitic in nature than deceitful, and parasites are a Plague staple. I think werewolves are a great fit for Shadow, because of it's whole ideas of deception and nothing being what it seems and obviously the fact they become monsters only during the night (so when the world is bathed in shadow.). Yknow what I'll keep my pick anyway go do some movie history. ![]() EDIT: Someone reminded me Little Shop of Horrors exists I feel dumb. Evil Plants That Bite And Eat You And Commit Violence. But yeah, movie about surviving a Volcano that erupts after being dormant for a long time! Sounds like what happened in Fire. Not technically horror, but this genuinely scared me when I was a bit younger so I count it. Jaws would also be an easy pick, but this one was scarier to me, and has a lot more underwater scenes in it. The weird landscape, the inspiration from classic Lovecraftian horror (The Color Out Of Space), and the fact anything staying there too long comes back weird before long? Sounds like the Starfall Isles. There are a lot of good picks for Arcane as there are a lot of good alien horror movies, but this one seems a good fit. Might be a bit more grungy than gooey, but hey, am I wrong?Īrcane: Annihilation. Now the intricate engineering of the traps in the Saw movies might make you think Lightning, but the theme of being forced to "appreciate your life" sounds a lot like Plague's whole thing. Agreeing with OP on this one, that sounds incredibly fitting. Self-explanatory, takes place at an arctic research facility with a weird alien that takes people over- sounds a lot like what the Shade is nowadays. It's all about a spelunking trip gone wrong, and Earth with its many caves and the terrible things lurking beneath it seems like a good setting. Ohhhh, there's so much you could do for this, let me pick my horror movie brain and see what I can come up with for each flight.Įarth: The Descent. ![]()
